As some of you will know, or if you look through my blog, you will notice I have an army of guardsmen with necron heads and a Tank company, and in 5th Edition 40k there is one weapon that is the last word in anti-tank capability - the meltagun. But no one ever has enough.
Men and women of the Imperial Guard, you have been chosen to participate in a glorious mission for the Immortal Emperor...

3rd Salopian Airborne Rangers - Part 3
Part 3 of this series is all about the paint scheme I've chosen. I wanted somthing realistic but quick to paint. These photos are of one of my veterans I converted last week, the weapons they're carring have been made into carbines similiar in style to my autoguns, and as you can see from the pictures below I've removed the shoulder pads from the arms to give them a lighter armoured, more modern, look.

3rd Salopian Airborne Rangers - Part 1
Having finished my course for the next few months, and with the upcoming Arkham Iron Painter event, I've decided to start another IG army (yes another one!).
I sat down to work out a competitive list but still take the models I wanted to include and have a good theme. I already have a foot IG list, a list consisting of mechanised platoons with support, mechanised vets with support and a tank company. I love the Valkyrie model, but hate painting it. So naturally I decided to do an airborne list.
